Serving Pensacola, FL

The 2020 GMC Sierra 1500, which is available at Buick GMC Pensacola, is a top-ranked truck. The Sierra takes the #3 position in its class of large trucks. The Sierra’s design and features are based heavily on those of the GMC Silverado, which is a cousin that it is based on. Most of the same features are standard or optional for the Sierra along with its counterpart. Where the Sierra differs is its interior, which comes with some higher-end components, and it has some unique mechanical features as well. The GMC Sierra is a fine truck in 2020. It doesn’t get or need many changes for 2021, which is perfectly fine for many drivers. Light changes are in store for the truck in 2021, however, including the option to get wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay as optional amenities. Otherwise, the Sierra still carries over with the same impressive powertrain options, a spacious interior, and a bed that is equally large with many tie-down points. The infotainment system that was new for the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 returns in 2021.

Performance and Handling

When you get behind the wheel of the GMC Sierra 1500 at Buick GMC Pensacola, you’ll see that it has impressive performance and handling capabilities in both model years. Performance is the same for the truck in both years with a mix of gasoline and diesel engines to choose from. The first engine, standard on the base trim, is a V6 with a 4.3L capacity. The base engine’s specs include 285 in horsepower matched with 305 LB-FT in torque. This engine is accompanied by an automatic six-speed. With the SLE trim in 2020 and 2021 you’ll get a larger, more powerful gasoline engine. The SLE’s engine adds turbo power for a boost to 310 HP in power output. Its torque production increases by about 40 LB-FT. This engine still has an automatic transmission, but its transmission has eight speeds instead of six. A diesel engine is offered on the SLE trim and higher. The turbo diesel’s power output reaches 277 HP. Its torque is higher than the others at 420 LB-FT. More engines are available with the SLT, including a V8 that creates 355 HP and a 6.2L V8 that produces 420 HP. Its torque is 460 LB-FT. You can get a 10-speed transmission with this engine.
